Black Braided Silk Suture
Black braided silk suture is a non-absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of natural material silk which is obtained from silkworm. Silk sutures are coated with wax/silicon which facilitates the easy passage through the tissue.
Silk sutures are braided with special technology to ensure tight braiding, better strength and performance. In house needle manufacturing provides better needles with optimum sharpness which finally delivers smooth riding on tissues during suturing.
Indications:
Black braided silk suture can be used as ligatures for removable fixtures and cardiovascular surgery (for suturing the grafts) also used in general surgery, ophthalmic surgery, Gastrointestinal surgery and orthopedic surgery. Silk sutures have moderate tissue reaction. It is ideal for skin closure. Silk is neither absorbed nor subjected to weakening by tissue enzymes.
Properties: Good knot security, excellent tensile strength and handling and do not exhibit elasticity while knotting which is ideal for skin closures, Smooth passage through tissue provides no trauma.
